The unfortunate reality this day and age is that most people have vested financial interest in creating articles for the general public to read. Just follow the money and your answer will reveal itself.
Even I am not immune. The sole reason for me writing this article is to get you to visit my website. Plain and simple. However, the difference comes in the quality of the information that you receive from each individual article that you read. Once you understand that there is a financial interest in every word to read, you start to take certain claims and "studies" with a grain of salt.

I am going on 59 yrs old. My doctors over the years told me that I had to cut down on My cholesterol and my weight. I have been told that for 15 years. I half-heartedly tried tou Cut the weight and failed. I weighed 241.5 as of Sept 5, 2005. I am 5 ft 9 inches tall; thus, I am 55 lbs overweight. I live a rather sedentary lifestyle and I love to eat ice cream, other sweets and pasta. I also WILL NOT go to a gym nor join the weight losing groups. I also will not count my calories like a nut job.
My Asiatic physician, a VERY nice but THIN gent, very politely reminded me many times; yo will need to be on medication until you successfully lose 55 lbs. I am on blood thinning medicine, plus aspirin and cholesterol reducing meds. Every day. I hate it. But it allows me to sleep easier. (more…)

As I?ve said many times, I hear every excuse in the book from people that don?t exercise. ?I don?t have the time.? ?I don?t like the gym I belong to.? ?Who wants to watch tan muscle heads flex their muscles in front of the mirror for two hours? Blah, blah, blah. What?s my response to all of these excuses? Well, there?s an easy weight loss alternative. Read on. Recently, a weight-loss client of mine came for his first appointment and sure enough the excuses followed him right into my office. But I put him in his place alright. I told him how it was. Here?s what I said: ?Well John, I don?t want you to go to the gym; Forget about it; Gyms are useless; I don?t like the gym either.? Puzzled, he looked at me and said, ?are you being serious.? My response was, ?John, you have your very own gym right at your doorstep. There are no muscle heads there, there is no equipment that can break and you don?t have to drive 15 minutes to get there.
